This is the best school of all schools in the whole world...ever. I love it. Best ever.
City High has to be one of the best; if not, the best high school in the greater Pittsburgh area. I have two sons who attend/attened City High who I am proud to say have excelled beyond what I ever would have imagined. I highly recommend City High to any parent who expects nothing more than excellence from their educational system.
When it comes to the community City High deserves 6/5 stars. Really we are like one big family and everyone watches out for each other and its great. When it comes to teachers and their involvement with students City High deserves an equally high score. Each student usually becomes extremely close with at least one teacher, who they can go to if they have problems and who they can trust. But when it comes to academics City High is really ify. In 9th grade you are basically babied. I was doing work that I had already completed in middle school and even before that. The biggest problem is the City High math curriculum. IMP has to be one of the worst programs, the school would benefit greatly by switching to a traditional math program. The best program is the English program, the others fall in between but all could use improvement.
Hello my name is Laylah Brown and I am going to be a student in this wonderful school this year. I have heard alot of great things about City High and I cannot wait to start my 4 years at this school, not only is the school, but the location is to. This location can show how responsible a 14 year old person can be. Thank you and see you soon City High.
City Charter High does a much better job of preparing young people for life and careers than the ctiy schools. They truly care about their students and give them 'real world' experiences. City High keeps their young adults on track while keeping their self-esteem in tact.
I was a student of the founding class...this school os wonderful. City High gave me advanges in the career feild after high school. This school helps students realize that there is no end to education and pushes students to another level -Cherell Collins
This school is great. I'm a 10th grader in this school and by far its great. Each class was made so it may help you on a career you might pick and some of the classes are required to take. Also the dress code makes it more challenging for bullies to make fun of kids base on how they are dress. Finally, if any problem were to arise you could ask any teacher for help or any staff member.
My daughter is a Senior at City Charter High. Back in the 9th grade we were worried, hoping we made the right choice. By far we never regret the decision to send her there. Educationally this school is far superior to the Public school she would have gone. This school really cares about its kids and their futures. It prepares these kids for the real world. Everything from how to interview for a job, or college reviews to the application process for college, to balancing your checkbook.
I was surprised read the review from the parent whose daughter went to City High in 9th grade and felt no one cared. I did not find that to be the case. It was just the opposite for my son who graduated from there. I found the teachers to be very involved and caring. So was the administration. But as a parent you have to take some responsibility of how your child is treated. You have to make sure that child does not fall through the cracks.
my daughter attended ninth grade at city high ,and it just left her feeling like no one care if she sank or swam.she felt as though the teachers just could care less about her.
