Tobyhanna Elementary has excellent teachers and the staff is always courteous and helpful. They work hard to honor parents requests for a particular teacher and do not frown upon parents taking the initiative to do what is in the best interest of their child's education. They also encourage correspondence directly with the child's teacher(s) so you can monitor your child's progress throughout the school year. The teachers really helped my children get through the difficult periods. My daughter went from struggling with the work in fourth grade to making honor roll through the fifth grade. I think they deserve the monies because many a time they have gone into their own pockets for supplies etc. This would help the teachers greatly as they would not only have the funds for supplies, but they would have the funds to participate in other educational activities without having to burden the parents. Many parents are less fortunate and cannot afford some of the fees, even though they are small they add up during the year. It will give their children who would normally not be able to participate in these activities a chance to do so. Little things now can make a big difference later in these children's life because of exposure to something they would ordinarily not be able to afford.

I have been blessed to have my children, grand children and nieces and nephews attend TEC. They have the most caring staff, from the housekeeping staff to the pricipal. I came from Philadelphia, attended public schools, but have never seen a system that not only care about the children, but also the community in which they serve. TEC is the best!

My daughter attended TEC from kindergarten on, and as a future educator myself, the commitment shown by every teacher we ecountered there was amazing! There was not a single year when I was not informed of progress, as well as short-comings, in my daughter's education. Yea TEC!

I have two children attending TEC (4th & 2nd Grades) and I have been very impressed with every teacher they have had thus far. The teachers and administration are all very good at communicating to the parents and they make every effort to address each students specific needs. The school offers many activities to enrich the students outside of normal classroom routine.

I think this is a great school, the teacher are very involved in the children s education which is great to know that they are there not for the money but to honestly make sure these kids get a proper education. I love this school. My daughter loves to get up and go to school everyday; she enjoys doing homework and getting involved in school project. I highly recommend this school if you are a parent that is involved in getting your child educated come to TEC. Thank you to all the staff at TEC for welcoming us and giving my daughter a great environment to be in.

Having worked in this school for over 15 years and having worked in other elementary schools in northeastern PA, I can honestly say that this school is at the top of the list when it comes to quality of staff, involvement with the students and attention to the needs of the students it serves. It was an honor for me to work at TEC, and if my kids were of elementary school age, I would not hesitate to send them to TEC.
