Port Matilda is an awesome school. The teachers really care and they prepare great lessons to motivate students. The PTO and all staff members really work work to make certain that all children are successful. This is truly a great school and should be rated a '10.'

My son is entering 2nd grade this year. We appreciate all of the staff and faculty at Port Matilda El. He is reading at a fourth grade level and is enjoying reading. This is a Great '10' school!

So far, I really like the kindergarten program. My son is learning to read by leaps and bounds. He is upset when the weekend comes b/c he wants to go to school. He is singing and being really creative with his art projects and is already learning a lot about science and math. The teachers are kind and patient yet stern. The students really seem to like them and there are not many problems. The food in the cafeteria is good and has a good variety. The playground is terrific. I don't like the 6 day schedule, but most of the schools do that now.
