I am saddened by the reviews from "yesteryear" Neidig parents because Neidig 2011 is nothing but a wharehouse churning out consumer drones that are taught to memorize tests. There are so many children who are not thriving in this environment and they are overlooked because they are not a behavioral problem. During her PSSA testing my child was given back the test to "fix her mistakes" because she had not competed all of the answers correctly. Isn't that dishonest on the teacher's behalf? Every year my child enters school and is totally lost and miraculously by the end of the year I am told she earned a 4 and that she is advanced/proficient. My child had no reading comprehension skills and can't find where the Atlantic Ocean is located on a map. Critical thinking is not encouraged and Neidig lost it's "real" art teacher to some former 3rd grade teacher who just happened have bought herself an art degree and rewards the kids with candy, not for good art but for behaving in class. Neidig used to say" Belive and Achieve" that slogan has been replaced with," Enter to learn, learn to serve", that alone speaks volumes to where the future of America is headed. Can you sense my disgust?

I am the proud parent of two children at Neidig elementry school. I am very impressed with all the teachers that I have encountered over the last 4 years as well as the principal. I also must comment on the art and music education they are wonderful programs with great teachers that my children adore!

I am a parent of two children at Neidig Elementary. I love the school and everyone who works here. I have one child in regular education classes and one who receives help from the learning support room, the learning support team is the greatest bunch of ladies in the world. They have helped us so much, it is unbelievable I love them all. This is such a caring school any child lucky enough to go here will have a great time.

My children have had an amazing education at Neidig. Every adult in the Neidig Community, from the pricipal to the teachers to the aides to the custodians, put the children first in everything they do. Neidig offers wonderful opportunites for the children to become authors, as each child is encouraged to publish a book every year with the school Publishing Center. Students reap the benefits of cross-grade learning with Neidig's Buddy Class program. Every lower grade at Neidig is 'Buddied-up' with an upper grade. The older students love helping the younger students with their reading and writing and the younger students love showing off their new skills for the older students. Neidig also has a strong Parent-Teacher Organization, PAL. PAL organizes Family Fun nights monthly where families can do anything from watching a Movie to riding on a Haywagon to playing Bingo and much, much, more.
