I find the staff and teachers are not very personable here, I also hear of bullying situations not being attended to properly if at all. My daughter has come home from school upset that a boy sitting in the group (we had rows in my day) was name calling and disrupting the class only to get warning after warning. My daughter was transfered from another school in the district (Woodlyn Elementary and we MISS them dearly) but while in her old school, which she started in 1st grade, was an honor roll student from day one, wanted to go to school no matter how sick she was and never had a problem of any kind. The children at Woodlyn Elementary were infact dealt with by way of discipline and not allowed to continue the behavior. Also a meeting was had with the childs parents to solve the issue.
my sister goes here and I used to go to this school and it is great! They love it and all the teachers are nice.Except,i dislike all of the fundraisers. The pto is great and they raised over $10,000 for their school.I like all the bake-sales and pretzel sales.EVERY WEEK they have either a hotdog day or a pizza day.Music is good, gym excellent are is great.Principal is MY favorite part of that school!!He is soo nice!
My daughter entered this school in 5th grade and got more help in half a year than she had in the other school district that we were in in 5 years. Now my grandson goes to Leedom and is in Mrs. Hayes 2nd grade class, with help from Mrs. Henry. They have both been fantastic in helping him work through his problems with ADHD and reading. Everyone concerned wants to help and provide you with what you need to get the best out of your child.
My son used to go to this school. He liked it very much and lerned alot. We moved two months ago and found his new school not as good. He learned alot, especially from Mrs. Hayes. Thank you.
