Definitely the worst elementary school in Beaver County. Don't send your kids here!

My child has gone to Rochester Elementary for grades K and 1st. I am so disappointed that if I did not buy a house here I would move. Do not put your children in this school unless you have to. Hopefully the admin will stand up and finally get a new principal.

Rochester is disappointing. The administration does not care what parents think. Do your homework prior to enrolling your child in Rochester Elementary. Quality academic programs? NO. Check the PASSA scores, there is a decline.

The Rochester Elementary School is one of the best kept secrets in Beaver County. Although it has 50% free and reduced lunch and a higher level of poverty compared to other surrounding schools, it has achieved at outstadning levels. In 1997, only 37% of its students passed the PSSA. Now, in the last two years, the passing rate is 75-87%. Discipline policies are fair and parent involvement through a well-established PTA are outstanding. Many surrounding school districts visit Rochester to view the curriculum, classrooms, and discipline. This is a fine school and offers children a loving environment.

the principal is poor and is in dire need of replacing. she won't fail a child because it looks poor on her. although I would not want to fail a child when it is not done the child is the one who suffers. also, the attitude is extremly poor towards the students and staff. the academics are way behind and the student are not even near what other neighboring communities are at. change is needed however, the superintendent obviously doesnt like change because he has failed to do anything about verbal and written complaints about the principal and her staff!!! if you don't have to move to rochester, I advise you don't. or at least look into private schools or home/cyber schools!! from a concerned rochester parent of 3

Principal leadership and attitude is poor towards the staff. Low budget for special classes (music, art, gym). Shut down the swimming pool and now the children can not learn an important life skill. Art was moved from a small, windowless room to a cart. Not much room for the arts.
