It's big, but our we have found it to be very supportative and welcoming. The principal is open and available and the teachers I have had contact with are very supportive and available. Our child loves going and that is saying something since she came from a small private school.

This school has done a fantastic job for my stepson. He was recently pulled out of another school district due to lack of education. They actually thought that his learning process would never improve. He was receiving D's and F's. Now that he is in this new school, he has received an IEP and is now more confident about learning. Grades have improved drastically. He now gets A's and B's. It is so unreal how this school district has really helped this child in his education. I could not say anything bad about this school district.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Pennsylvania used the Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 11 in math and reading, in grades 5, 8 and 11 in writing, and in grades 4, 8 and 11 in science. The results for reading, writing, science and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The PSSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Pennsylvania. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.
