This is an excellent school. Our son will complete his last year here, and we have been nothing short of happy and pleased. Their kindergarten program is, by far, one of the best around. My daughter enters this school come Sept, and we are eager for her to begin, as we know it will be a great experience.
I have been very pleased with Brooke. I thing the few people that gave it poor ratings have personal problems and blame the school for their childs short comings. What exactly do they expect the Principal to do? He seems fine to me and my kids have never had an issue.
I have been involved with Brooke for several years and have always found it to be a great school. The principal has always been available to meet and has been very helpful. He brought several new programs such as RTI to the school and the kids do great. The teachers are the best! We love it here.
I have one child that went to Brooke for K-4 and one currently attending. I have found the teachers to be excellent. All the interaction I have had with the principal and staff has been friendly and everyone has been helpful and honest. This is definitely and A+ school
Brooke Elementary has a principal that is cold and uninvolved. Some of the teachers are great, but others are horrific! We were terribly disappointed and chose to leave the school.
Brooke Elementary is top notch! The teachers are very creative and highly motivating. My child went through K-4 and absolutely loved it! He hated when he had to leave. All of his teachers spent countless hours trying to make their program the best possible. I was especially impressed by the third grade teachers and their use of inivative techniques in their classroom.
Wow, this is amazing. My child is entering the first grade at Brooke and I couldn't agree more with all of the comments of other parents below. I can honestly say that the Kindergarten curriculum was very good. However, the administrative staff, lead by the so called principal is one to be desired. I have never seen a less nurturing, robotic, non chalant elementary principal in my life! Regarding the staff, so far, I've had positive interaction and it seems as if they are interested in the well being of my child, academically. Again, this is on a kindergarten level. Let's see what I have to say at the end of this school year. I'm hoping for the best!
I have a child at brooke I found one of the teachers and the staff to be not very straight foward or truthful. The principal does not communicate well at all with the parents especially the female parents. He comes across like the parents are meanless and not worth his time. I would like to be able to have my children go to another school.
My son is in his first year at Brooke Elementary, and I couldn't be more pleased. All of my interactions with staff and parents have been positive ones, and my son is having an absolutely wonderful first experience. The kindergarten curriculum is excellent!
I disagree with the 14:1 Ratio that is posted. My children have had between 20-25 children in every class they've been in at that school. The school has pleasent grounds and semi-updated facility, but does not have a very friendly staff. Some parents are standoff-ish. Alot of clicks between the children and little help from the school to discourage these. Faculty has difficult accepting fault, and unfortunately, administration has backed them up, even when they are wrong. For the average, need nothing, just get through the grade student with parents who remain uninvolved and are willing to surrender their children over to a curriculum that may or may not be agreeable with them, this school is probably fine. For parents looking for more, you should keep looking. Parent involvement in the classroom is discouraged. The principal needs to be more friendly, and the office staff could be nicer as well.
