The academic programs at Shanksville Elementary are wonderful! Reading recovery and Title 1 programs are run by an amazing team of teachers. The school boasts a former PA Teacher of the Year and I believe that many of the rest of the staff are equally qualified for that title! Music, art, physical education, health, library and computer are all offered as special classes and taught by special people. The teachers at Shanksville are excellent educators, but above all else, they are compassionate people. The school secretary is a caring and terrific lady - God knows she probably has the toughest job in the school! Shanksville Elementary is an excellent place for my child.
