Oswayo Valley Elementary is a wonderful school. The principal, Mrs. Fugate, is an amazing administrator. She truly cares about the children of OV. The entire staff at Oswayo Valley is second to none. I am a graduate of OV and things are quite different now....all I can say is 'We've come a long way!'. The student testing scores have continued to increase under the leadership of Superintendent Wicker and Principal, Fugate. They both should be commended for all of their efforts as well as their entire staff. I am proud to say that my children are students of the Oswayo Valley School District! It is a small district but despite its size it provides our children with an excellent education! The entire staff contributes to OV's success. Again, I am proud to be a graduate from Oswayo Valley!

I attended Oswayo Valley a few years ago and I think it may not have the most complicated curriculum but my friends and myself are all attending college and doing quite well. Oswayo Valley's Mrs. Schlosser by far prepared me the best for college and has a wonderful teaching method. Many of the teachers there are wonderful, and when you only have so much to work with in our area, i think they've done a good job. My class did amazing on our PSSA's so something is right at that school. There is still plenty of room for improvement, but graduating with 50ish kids, feeling safe at school, going on a killer class trip, and overall knowing my classmates and teachers was a plus. I enjoyed my time at Oswayo Valley!

Oswayo Valley has been a disappointment. The curriculum is substandard, in my opinion. I feel this is demonstrated by the poor state testing scores our school has received. The school to parent communication is also lacking. That said, the teachers are genuinely dedicated and show an effort to improve the school. The art program and library are more than one would expect from a small rural school. However, overall I would have to say our experience has been a negative one.
