This is an excellent school. Most of the teachers are terrific - they care and work hard to teach the kids. PTO has turned around in recent years and provides amazing things for the kids. Principals are wonderful!! Parents are involved and are very supportive.
The principal and vice principal are very hands on and everyday at least one of them visits every classroom briefly. Security is topnotch here, you must be buzzed in, to enter for any reason. Though they do not ask for ID's when picking up your child. This should be mandatory and viewed up against the childs emergency contact listings. Parental involvement is very low based on the PTO meetings w/little attendence in regards to the 1500 students that attend. I am overall very happy with Forest Hills Elementary.
