I've had nothing but positive experiences so far. My daughter's teacher is absolutely wonderful, and she loves going to school every day!

I am a parent and a teacher in a neighboring district. My child entered kindergarten this year at Peters Elementary and I am extremely happy with the curriculum and staff. My son has a dedicated, creative teacher and is excited to go to school each day. I know how demanding the curriculum is in every district and how difficult it is to make school fun. My taxes may be a little higher but that is price I am willing to pay to live in a small, rural district. I like the fact that my children will know everyone in their graduating class and also have the opportunity to play sports.

There are 23 students per teacher, not 16 as listed on this site! And the taxes in this district are way too high for what we're getting in return. I do think on the positive side that this is a nice clean school that has a lot of activites for the kids and in general, a caring staff. My biggest complaint is the lack of educational programs in favor of programs for 'poor folks' such as stopping drug use, child abuse, obesity, and more. No wonder there is no room in the schedule for a science or history class.

As long as your child fits this mold, it's a great school. I think teachers should go back to the basics of trying to make learning fun and interesting. Whatever happened to teaching because they loved educating kids - not for the money?
