As a former elementary school teacher myself, this is not an ideal school district. And, if you have a child with any kind of special need, this really is not the school district for you. The director of special education seems to be poorly educated in what services children need, and parents find him and his staff difficult to approach and work with. If your child has an IEP, find another school district to send your child to.

Teachers are very good, atmosphere is supportive, new principle is outstanding. I would have no problem sending my kids to school here. One of the best in the area!

At first visit, this school seems very good. The principal is attentive and knows all of the students by name and the teachers are very friendly. Once inside, things are also good as long as you have an 'average' child that learns and excells within the norms. If a child is exception, or 'not average' this school is not equipped to deal with it. Their gifted program is mediocre at best and if you have a child with a health condition, such as diabetes, be forwarned.
