Sabold is a good school with high test scores, good teacher/student ratio, and strong music and arts programs...With that being said I have to say the negative outweighs the positive. The downside to this school is of course a matter of opinion. First, children with special needs aren't helped to blend in with the other students, although they attend classes with them. They are singled out for their differences. My child is extremely advanced and bright, but was singled out as a "problem student" because of their inability to focus on a curriculum that couldn't keep up with their learning speed. I also was aghast at the amount of time spent on pointing out my child's faults when my child's test scores and grades were so high. I would also like to add that I have caught the office staff on more than one occasion rolling their eyes when they saw my child coming in the door! Finally I want to say that the principal is a rude and condescending person. On several interactions with the principal, I have felt like I wasn't taken seriously or that I was bothering her. She has even ignored my child when they tried to say hello to her in public! I will not send other children to this school.
It is the best elementary school around - fabulous teachers, staff, kids, etc. I love this school!
It is a wonderful, supportive positive atmosphere in which to learn. The Staff and Home and School are fantastic!
sabold is a wonderful school and very great with keeping school and family together as a team.
So far so good. My daughter is in 1st grade and is really enjoying school so far. The curriculum is impressive and the parent participation seems incredibly supportive. My son is in kindergarten with some special needs concerns and that seems to be working out well. His IEP team is on top of things and he seems to be transitioning well. All their specials are great -art, music, spanish, gym, computer and library are excellent.
Child-friendly environment, room for student growth, extracurriculars encouraged, friendly staff and teachers.
