Holy Cross has a new principal this year that is implementing some great new things. So far they have a brand new website www.hcscrusaders.com, twitter, facebook, and instagram accounts that are updated frequently. There are two new after school programs being offered related to science and engineering that the students are raving over. The teachers and staff are very professional and you can tell that they love what they do. A brand new Pre-K 3 year old class is starting in January and just a few weeks ago they had a fall festival that was open to students, parents, PREP, alumni, and the parish. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because I know that no place is perfect, but they strive to improve and make the school better each and every day!

I am extremely happy and incredibly impressed on what Holy Cross has to offer. They have a music, Spanish, computer and physical education program that my a children rave about each day. The new Crusader Cares Program is giving the children a chance to Pay it Forward! It is so nice to see that Student of the Month has made a return! There are so many wonderful implantations this year! I am very thankful for all the staff and new principal for all of their help for a new transition for us. I cannot be more happy on my choice of Holy Cross for my children. Thank you again!!!!

This is our first time at a Catholic school and it is very possible that this is just the way things are and my issues with the school are moot. I adore my child's teacher and I feel that she connects with my child very well. However, it is the atmosphere of the school that I am uncomfortable with. I feel that there is little to no communication between the parents and the school and when something falls through the cracks, it is made to seem like it is the parent's fault no matter how involved that parent may be. The teachers that are not my child's teachers and the principal do not seem very welcoming or approachable. My spouse and I both feel that no one smiles at the school unless they know you already. We really feel like outsiders and I don't feel that helps our child because we are all working together and yet we feel like we are on the outside of a clique. I would like to see more communication regarding something other than money. They are very quick to hand out mandatory fundraisers but neglect to mention other ways to help the school such as boxtops or labels for education.

The communication between the school and home is excellent. The teachers know the children both on a social and academic level. They really care about our children.

I am sooooo pleased as are my children that we have a new principle. My children are happy and now. they love going to school. It was a problem for the last 5 years. I am estastic that Ms. Fitz took over as the principle. She is THE BEST AND LOVES CHILDREN!!!!!!! God must have heard everyone prayers! AMEN

All 3 of my children went to this school. They had excellent academics & were involved with the children (cared how they fared in school). They were nominated for the Blue Ribbon School Program when my children attended there.

I love this school and I think the new principal is wonderful she is doing so much for the school with the upgrade of technology and new science lab that will be used for the upper grades she knows what she is doing and as a parent I could not be anymore happier

My daughter recently graduated from Holy Cross, and I have nothing to say but kind words about this fantastic learning institution. The kindergarten teachers are awesome...so willing to help, great with the kids and the parents. My daughter has learned far more than I ever expected. I am so glad that my husband and I decided to send our daughter to Holy Cross. We couldn't have made a better choice!

My child has been in Holy Cross school for many years and I'm sorry to report that since the new principal has come I have been very unhappy with the school. It seems like the school has turned into a business I understand you need money to run but every day you are asking for more money. I also feel as though the new principal handles discipline problems very inappropriately. It's sad that it has come to this if I had another option my child would not be there.

I go to this school and honestly, I am going to be very sad when I leave. My classmates are always nice and the teachers are great! My favorite part of the school year is the school show. Our music teacher always does a wonderful job putting it together.

This school is a wonderful education institution. The teachers have always been adaptable to children with special needs - if tutoring is needed - it is always made available. Honestly, the Language Arts curriculum far surpasses that of the Springfield School District. The Math curriculum needs to be adjusted to come up to par with the public school system. However, if Our Lord is your everyday - This is one wonderful school!

Holy Cross School is a very safe, and educational school for your children to be in. The main highlights of the school is the School Show. The children practice their songs and moves for 3 months until May. Then they put on the show for the grandparents, and the families later at night. Holy Cross also has Field Day, the book fair, and muck more other great things. The teachers are great too. The children will learn so muck in their year here. Holy Cross also has a learning support center for the children who need it. So, you can probaly see what a great school Holy Cross is.

This school does not teach to public standards. K-2 teaching is wonderful but the teaching quality falls off from there
