Our child went to 2nd and 3rd grade. All of the other comments are correct. We have pulled out of Stowe not because of the PACE system (which is quite excellent) or the Teacher(s), who are excellent, but the combination of staffing levels and number of attending children, in this school year (2009/2010) there is no arts, computer, languages, music. We started sending our child to external classes to make sure the 'missing' subjetcs were covered, but that turns out to be an expensive proposition. We would certainly re-enroll our child if the 'missing' subjects were available.
Our son goes to S.L.C.A. He started going in 2nd grade and now he is going to go into 9th in 2010. At first it was tough I think on all of us because I took him out of public school and put him a private school, but we made it through.Our son has grown so much in the Lord and I think that is were alot of our children need to be. The school may be little, but it sure is mighty. The teachers are all really great with all the children that go to the school.Some days it may be tring, but they will love your children as their own. Everything that is tought at the school is Bilbe base. If it wasn't for this school, our son may have been lost out in the real world. There is so much more we could sayabout the school.
My 3 children have all attended Stowe Lighthouse and it is a great school with Christian values and teachers. The PACE system allows your child to work at their own pace with help and direction from the accredited teachers in the classroom. My daughter graduated 2 years ago when the school size was about 25-30 students. Students who have trouble with large public schools and peer pressure will feel welcome and safe in this Christian environment. I also taught at this school and it was a blessing.
excellent school!! definitely recommend attending!! i was the first graduate!! a christian education doesnt cost it pays...
