We love our schools, campuses and teachers. The teachers are commited to connecting and teaching our children. Most have advanced degrees or are working toward them. Our educators are young smart and dedicated. There's no better place to raise our children than the Pocono Mountains with year round scholastic sports. The schools seem to be the central place for all the happenings and we feel a deep connection to the academic community.

I learned so many life lessont at this school. I am a recent graduate, and feel that Pocono Mt. did an amzing job preparing me for college. I am attending a private college and studying premed/physicians assistant masters. This is a hard program, and I am doing great thanks to Pocono Mt. Every school has its low points, but overall the school does the best they can. I also think all the sports and activities open to the students greatly help. Pocono Mt. even has great classes where peers help peers like peer support. I have never heard of any school that was so diversed and unique as pocono mountain

I think this is an outstanding school district. The teachers are doing the best they can with a rapidly growing urban population in a rural district. Unfortunately, many of the parents move to the area 'to get out of the city' - in reality, all they are accomplishing is bringing the city to us. The problems are not in the demographic - they are in the parenting. Don't blame the district for the problems that start at home.

I graduated from PMSD in 2002 when it was still one district. As far as the way the split the district it was not easy for them to do, in fact they split it once when I was in 8th grade and then changed the way they split it the year after I graduated. There are so many students and parents that not everyone will be happy. However, I believe I had some of the best teachers who affected my life in a positive way. Just because a teacher is fresh out of college does not mean they are not good teachers. I think they quality of academic programs was great they always found a way for a student to succeed. The music program was the best and the lessons I learned just in the music program I will take with me for the rest of my life. I liked PMSD!

Your kidding right? The three reviews here are from people from PMWHS!!! We recently moved to the area and have found nothing but helpful courteous staff at this high school. We also have found the curriculum and additional programs to be exellent. Go rate your own school.

I agree with Carolyn. It's funny how they divided the school district up. The communities with fha and unconventional funding seemed to have ended up in west and the conventional funding seemed to have ended up in the east campus. I think what they did was segregation. My child has graduated from PMWHS. I like the idea of the police station being out in front of campus. The teachers, oh don't get me started...most are just out of college and haven't a clue...they more seasoned teachers seemed to have choosen to stay at east campus. With all the building up here and new schools being built hopefully they will redistrict again and things will even out...before my other children are ready for high school, for now I'll stay with private school.
