Because I have seen the end results of the awesome education offered at Swiftwater. My niece and some of her friends attend the school and they are responsible educated young men and woman on the road to success. They are already looking at colleges as they are very focused with lots of direction on what they want to do in life and I know Swiftwater and the teachers have a lot to do with it. At SEC the teachers notice a student's possible shortcomings ahead of time and work hard to help children before minor flaws escalate into real problems.
Fantastic environment where dedicated staff encourage children to learn.
Teachers and parents actually DO work together as a close concerned team to help students be the best that they can be.
The new school is beautiful and the most technologically advanced in the area. There are prometian boards in every classroom all the teachers and staff that i have had contact with have ben wonderful.
My kids cried when school finished. They also wanted to be in school everyday because the teacher 'loved' their students and really educated them. theres nothing like my children waking up wanting to go to school!
I'm impressed by the commitment dedicated to my child at Swiftwater Elementary School by the extended staff such as Reading Specialist and School Nurses. These often hidden people, have taken the time out to ensure that we had a great experience in Kindergarten. We are still working on the allowance of parental involvement. As a minority family, we desire to be even more dedicated to our children's education, which opposes the stereotypical norm in society. It is a struggle to get the Administration to comply to our need to participate in our children's education. Often times, we must jump through hoops in order to observe our child in the classroom. Whatever happened to the good old days where mom would pop up at your classroom door in anticipation to make sure that the child was performing according to their best standard?
My son began kindergarten at this school. He has loved every minute of it. The teacher is very helpful with anything related to the student and their academics or personal issues. They have homework everyday and weekly newsletters are sent home. This way the parent knows the plan for the week. They have many programs avilable for the children, either educational, recreational and fundraising types. Progress reports are sent home before every report card and areas of improvement are pointed out. It is a great school and the education is wonderful. I never thought i would see my 6 year old reading short stories to me. His teacher has been a great academic influence, with help, encouragement, and unlimited communication between her and the parent. Plus the school campus is beautiful, the elementary school has two playgrounds, one for kindergarten and one for the older kids. It's has a good balance.
