The education is great, but as for the rules...we get punished for just jokingly slapping our friend on the back!!! We learn a lot and the teachers are great! Kids get along with the teachers and everything goes great...unless you one of the kids that doesn't put any effort into anything than you should move to a different school because the teachers and principal don't tolerate that kind of behavior.the drama that goes on has to stop! And as for sports....the board has to put mone in for more sports besiees FOOTBALL!! Im a swimmer and we have to get changed in a dirty locker room! Thee ceilings of the locker room are almost off:(. Its like they don't even care for us swimmers!

Tamaqua High and Jr. High school has become more like Tamaqua prison then a school. Rules upon rules and punishments is the concern not teaching. The are forcing the teachers to be rule enforcers first teachers second. Extracurricular activities have to fight tooth and nail because unless its football they want to cut it from the budget. They send home forms notices rule books all the time. Sign this sign that and its all about punishing children. What happen to teaching? I get almost no feedback from the school other then what is bad or he had on the wrong color of pants. Its sad I went there 20 years ago it was a great school now its a prison camp.

The focus is too sports oriented. The board needs to put some money in support of class room teachers.

Good School. Its a school where your parents parents go and your kids go. Generations go. Make sure that every student reaches full ability very good school district! They come to the students, if there's an academic problem inside the class room and out.
