This is a great school! My child is getting a great education and the teachers are some of the best around. I am amazed at how much he has learned to do in 1st grade!
Caln Elementary is a wonderful community school full of bright students. My oldest child attended Caln from 1st-5th and his experience was terrific. Caln teachers properly prepared him to be successful in middle school. My 7 yr old is in 1st grade and he loves his teacher. I appreciate how committed the teachers are too. Caln recently won the District Spelling Bee too.
my question is when is the cut off for kindergarten for school year 2011 2012? my daughter turns 5 september 11th? if she doesnt make the cut off will they make any exceptions if she is extremely bright?
Last year I wrote in about the experience my son had in Kindergarden at Caln. I was very pleased then and I can say I am very pleased this year too. My son has Miss Walker and she is outstanding!!! My son loves his school and is learning so many new facts. I think it is wonderful that Caln teaches their students to give back and get involved in the community along with teaching them normal every day studies. I also think is is awesome they promote school pride and encourage the kids to be proud of where they go. As for the other comments posted on here against Caln Teachers I haven't met one who does not love these kids and doesn't go above and behind. As for the building being run down who cares what matters is the education, love, and support given in those walls.
Caln Elementary has so many programs to help a child learn its incredible. What a school of excellence!
We love Caln. It is full of caring teachers who really know how to help all kids learn. They make a difference in a kid's life!
Very, very disorganized. Always submitting and re-submitting student inforamtion. Always asking for money. It would seem like if they wern't so focused on their money problems they woud pay more attention to teaching.
caln elementary is a great school, its awesome and such a fun school!
We moved here three years ago very nervous to sent our daughter to caln but we decided to sent her for kindergarten and guess what now she is second grade doing great! We love caln no complains at all! We were so happy this year because of the pssa test results caln did really very good! Really proud of the teachers who work really hard and the students who are working hard to take the school to next level!
Prinsipal has no leadership. Many of the teachers are inexperinced and bring their personal lives into the classroom. Building is in disrepair. Blacktop for a playground with limited space. Large classes due to closing of elementry schools in Coatsville. Classes in relocatable classrooms. Extracurricular class are very expensive. If I had a choice my child wouldn't be attending this school.
