I have two kids that attended CREC one still does. He's in Mrs.Roberts class ( who is a great teacher). Been with the school district for 61/2 years the one problem I have is that they no longer have swimming classes and the ski program they had. very disappointed my son won't get to do what his sister got to do.

The school using positive reinforcement tools for positive behavior.. the children receive little paws, super paws to redeem in a super paw cart.. small tokens for good behavior this.. starts in kindergarten through 5th grade.. my children love it.. and they are rewarded in different situations even for good behavior in the bus.

I had many concerns prior to my son starting school at Clear Run Elementary because of the bad reviews and because of word-of-mouth. It's been 6 months since he first started and I must say that I am really impressed with his teacher, the curriculum, the after-school programs and the ease of getting in contact with the faculty. I met with the principal and she was extremely helpful and my son's teacher is very good with children. I believe that my husband and I have enjoyed the school so much because we participate in the open houses, reading night, etc. My son enjoys learning and he really likes all of his teachers. It's been great thus far.

I think the school is great and it's the parents that need to do more to be involved.

I am fairly new to PA and my son is now attending CREC. His teacher Ms. Walsh is awesome and keeps me updated on my child's academics/concerns. Everyone I have met at the school has been very professional and very pleasant. The school is 100% better than where he last attended in NJ.

My daughter previously attended school in NYC and has always struggled academically due to the lack of services to provide additional help. However, since moving to PA and enrolling her in CRIS, her grades have improved tremendously and she is more enthusiastic about going to school. She never wants to miss a day and I'm happy about it. I also like the schools 0 tolerance to violence on the bus and in the school however, more attention needs to be given to students who are being picked on and provoked into reacting. If they were more proactive on preventing problems, they'd be right on point.

I feel the school would be a lot better if the parents were involved more. I do like the additional educational support for students who need it and the teachers are wonderful. But, to be honest, the reason we are moving is the quality of students. If parents were more involved with the kids, this school would be a five star. I think the teachers are doing the best they can provided what they are given.

I found CREC to be a great community of professional teachers and staff. Parent involvement is not as high as I would like to see due to the high percentage of commuting parents. The school is definitely ethnically diverse. There were some extracurricular activities available for older students.
