The school is in a rural area with a large percentage of farmers and the like. The school has few discipline problems. The is an average of about 19 students in each of the six kindergarten classrooms. The teachers are mostly lifelong residents of the area.
My son is in the middle of kindergarten and is excelling at MES. The overall quality of education is very high and the school has dramtically increased its test scores over the last couple years. Safety isn't even an issue at MES, it's probably one of the safest schools around. There are plenty of after-school activities for the kids such as movie night and the Xmas store for the holidays. They do something different every week for the kids in kindergarten such as 'hat day' or 'sport team day.' The principal seems like she's too busy to deal with day-to-day problems. However, the assistant principal, Mr. Caro, is wonderful!
