I went to Tyrone before the new middle school was built and there was never middle school recess and I think the new building is great. My daughter went to school there for two years and she had excellent teachers(with the exception of one) and Tyrone has great test scores!! We live in California now where the standard of education stinks, the teachers do not communicate with the parents, and extra curricular activities are almost nonexistent. Class sizes are huge, so, appreciate Tyrone, it really is a great district!!!!

Nice new building, but it has taken away what little outdoor recess space they had. Now, there is no recess for middle school students. When we left, it appeared they were still trying to figure out what works and what doesn't, while the students were stuck with inflexible schedules, ridiculous rules and little down-time. Parent concerns re: these issues were consistently belittled and ignored. We are all happy to be in another school district now. Perhaps in a few years this school may be just 'good'.
