I searched and lived in an apartment for 3 years until I was able to buy my home in the Laurel Highlands school district. I am more than pleased with my childrens education from Clark. Mrs. moore as well as her teaching staff have made enormous strides in improving their education. My only regret is that the LAZY parents feel it is solely the responsibilty of the school to teach their children and refuse to help out. My two children have improved greatly and their reading abilities are phenominal.

Since no one has placed a comment on here recently I thought I would update the info! I am currently a substitute teacher and I have had the opportunity to teach in every one of the LHSD schools. Clark is definitly a great educational facility! Also, they have come a long way under the leadership of Mrs.Moore their principal. The only disadvantage at Clark may be that a higher number of students in this school, compared to the other schools in the district, seem to come from families that make less money. Therefore, the parents probably work longer hours and regrettably, have less time to help their children study. However, I feel that the staff here are incredibly supportive of all the students and work closely with parents when they can to make their children's education the best it can be!

I don't see how anybody can say this school is doing good for our children. We are well below the other schools in the area for these so called test scores. Not to mention the children suffer here. Our children have no time to eat let alone get enough to eat unless like me you pack your childs lunch everyday. The students are not allowed to socialize at lunch time. These students are pushed to do academic all day long. They even cut back on recess time due to lost instructional hours. And the results are that they still fall behind the other schools. My fifth grader is going to be going on the the junior high with no understanding of how to use a map, how to write an essay, or understand basic math. I don't see any good in this school.

I believe this school far surpasses all expectations a parent would have regarding an elementary school. I had 2 boys graduate from Clark and both are in college and doing well. I now have a daughter in 3rd grade, and she is thriving there. The administration and staff are reasonable and personable. The curriculum is substantial and wide- ranging. My only criticism of the education is that there is not enough opportunities for music appreciation. There is no school band or orchestra. LH School District should be proud of this jewel of a school.

Clark Elementary has been such an improvement on everything through the past years,it is involved so much education that the children growing can share their knowledge with anyone. Clark has made it through with everyone of the educators. They make it fun to come to school.
