I specifically moved to Weatherly so my daughter could attend school. As a graduate of Weatherly, I knew that the school is more like a private school than a public school. As expected, my daughter has thrived in her 5 years of education at Weatherly. Her classes have ranged in the 16-18 level and all her teachers and the administration have been exceptionally enthused and creative in their teaching methods and use their own teaching materials to supplement the district-provided curricular materials. What is more, the school makes it a point that the kids have FUN learning. The PTA is active and thoughtful and really does not require parents to be rich. It costs nothing for a parent to volunteer to help with class parties or bake a few cookies. So, yes, Weatherly does have a private school atmosphere and the school board defends the high standards of Weatherly education without much drama and fanfare. Our taxes here are much lower than surrounding districts. The grounds of the school campus are beautifully maintained and every visitor comments on them. Money can't buy that ethic.

My son was new to this school this year but it became very clear early on that he was going to have an exceptional experience--and that he did! I heard before he started in the fall that this school was more like a private school than public and I agree.--Each teacher has their own agenda-in other words, there's a teacher for each subject, not just one teacher trying to teach all the subjects of the curriculum set forth.--They also had alot of fun along the way which always makes it easier to learn-- I'm thankful that there are still real educators out there and that we were blessed in finding them. Thanks to all the staff for making 2005-2006 a GREAT year but particular thank yous go out to: Mr. Mondero--Mr. Van Horn--and Mr. Lutz.

weatherly school area are very good , high teaching course regarding parent involment is not good, you have to enjoy the PTA that way you can be involve in the activities of the school, I think is not fair, the some parents that dont have the money to enjoy it, please let those parents get involve at school without the PTA.
