West Chester Henderson High School

The leadership in this school is top notch and its administrators have implemented a culture that fosters mutual respect between the students and the teachers/admin. Most kids who go to Henderson want to be there -- and it shows in their academics, PSSAs, athletics and social interactions. It's met and exceeded our expectations on all levels.

Our son transferred into Henderson this year from a Charter School. My husband, myself and our son are thrilled that we made the change. Because our son carried an IEP, the school that he came from did not evaluate him correctly and he was not given the credits he needed to graduate with his class. Because of this, he has agreed to take a heavy schedule (no lunch) and take classes during the summer to be placed with his graduating class next near. Our son is excited to be at Henderson, the teachers have been phenominal in getting him adjusted to a public environment, the academics are outstanding, and the parental involvement is beyond anything that we've encountered at the other school. Putting your child into a different scholastic environment is challenging but when you get into the right school, it is so worth it.

It's an alright school... There are too many students that get high and quite honestly get drunk too often though. :'( And the teachers aren't so great.
