Penn London Elementary School

Penn London get high marks for security and safety, but these come at the price of extreme rigidity. The teachers are fantastic! The admnistrators and the school board are not so great- too much photo ops and worrying more about the budget than the actual kids. The PTA is no better- they spend tons of time selling all kinds of stuff to the students even though that's not in the childrens' best interests at this age level (It's also not unusual PTA behavior.) If you wish to conform, you are allowed to volunteer in your child's class IF your child's teacher allows it. If not, you are out of luck.

I am so thrilled with this school district. We moved here in the middle of the school year and thought it would be a hard adjustment for our child, but it is been wonderful. Our son has caught on quickly and seems to be learning so much more than he did at his last school which was rated very high. He loves going to school now and his school work is showing it!

I love this school. My children are thriving and they like to go to school. The teachers are excellent and all are certified, the school has the latest technology and there is a small school , not lost in the crowd feeling created by the color family system. The teachers follow a clearly stated curriculm and the grading system is totally objective. I have volunteered in 5 different teacher's classrooms, and there is always a quite sence of order, children interact without acting up. I wish everyone could have it so good.
