I have had two of my children at this campus and am so blessed to be a part of the ECA family. We drive a good distance to get to school but I consider that a small inconvenience compared to the atmosphere and the education that they are receiving. It's has a staff that both cares and prays for the families and students and administration that listens and cares. The parent involvement is very encouraging as well. Two of my children are now at the upper campus and I have one still in the elemtary. No regrets at ALL and looking forward to great things as we go forward!

I am grateful for the love and dedication of all of the Wexford teachers, staff, and administration. I am so pleased with the way teachers weave a Christian worldview into their daily lessons. My children love Eden and love the friendships they have made. They have always felt loved and cared for by all of the teachers and staff, and we are so grateful that Eden has been such a major part of their lives!

I am so sorry I sent my children here. I wanted this school to be a family - warm and caring and filled with Christ's love. What we got was a school with high turn over of teachers (ask them about the length of time the various teachers have worked there), a principal who fears the upper administration, and a deference to certain wealthy or connected students. Sure the books contain a reference to Christ and they have chapel, but the day-to-day follow through is concerning. When you have an older elementary student whose head is repeatedly dunked in a urinal, one would think that discipline might be appropriate. But if the headmaster is afraid of "upsetting" the parents of the perpetrator and the principal is afraid of "upsetting" the headmaster, then you have an ineffective disciplinary system, a free pass for the perpetrator and the "dunkee" learns that his Christian school won't help the "least of these." There is an alumni club of sorts for this school and it is amazing the stories that you hear of mistreatment between children. Talk to someone from that alumni club before you send your child here.

Bullying and incompetent - Reviewer from 12/4/12 couldn't have said it better - but I'll add concrete examples - judge for yourself. The 4th grade class is down to 3 girls, because bullies (girl who is a staff kid and a boy whose parent is a large donor) have caused the other girls to leave. School doesn't do anything. Same class, boy pins another boy to a locker/wall and kids threaten each other with bodily harm. What is principal concerned with? She is busy telling another teacher to take down early elementary art work from the hallway bulletin board because it' s "not pretty enough" for visitors. Really?? (Maybe worry less about artwork and more about bullying.) A young girl 7 or 8 punched multiple times by another girl - who is a known troublemaker (e.g. numerous complaints/concerns and violent towards teachers - throws stuff at them.) Could go on - but review size is limited. Let's talk incompetency now - Eden had teacher/coach at Upper Campus, he failed - they transfered him to Siebert Elementary campus, parents forced him out due to incompetency - now school has him at Wexford campus on "improvement program" becuase school doesn't want to lose male teacher/coach.

To summarize, Eden's Wexford campus is like a public school that teaches Christian doctrine. It has good teachers and bad, good administrators and bad, nice kids and very bratty kids. There was nothing here that stood out to us as being excellent. For the tuition you pay, you expect excellence. The school is strict, except for the children whose parents donate a lot of money or spend an excessive amount of time volunteering. Then the rules don't seem to apply to those kids and they are permitted to run amok, making like miserable for the other children. Conflict among the students was often done by telling them parables or praying with them. That's fine, however, all the offending child takes away is that he got off without a real consequence and continues the bad behavior. Eden has lost many good families in recent years, frankly due to the amount of bullying going on in these classrooms. The principal's stock answer is "boys will be boys" and "girls will be girls", but that is clearly unacceptable. We were very let down.

We have been pleased with our experience. The environment is healthy, the staff is friendly, and the students are some of the most upbeat children I have ever seen. The meeting space is beautiful and extremely clean. Curriculum is about two grade levels above public school in most subjects. This is sometimes difficult because some children just don't have the capacity to learn quite so rapidly. If you are considering Eden, be sure you ask the teacher exactly what the child will be learning that year so you can make an honest assessment of your child's gifts and abilities. Tutoring is available from teachers who want to see your child succeed, and after-school care is available for working parents. Eden offers so much in terns of theme days, assemblies, pep rallies, sports teams spirit days, etc., that my kids are constantly looking forward to school, even when the going gets tough on the schoolwork end of things. It's just a fun place to be. This campus does not have an in-house hot lunch program, but instead brings in outside vendors such as Chick-Fil-A, Pizza Hut, and Moe's. Not exactly a salad bar, but for a kid, it's heaven.
