To summarize, Eden's Wexford campus is like a public school that teaches Christian doctrine. It has good teachers and bad, good administrators and bad, nice kids and very bratty kids. There was nothing here that stood out to us as being excellent. For the tuition you pay, you expect excellence. The school is strict, except for the children whose parents donate a lot of money or spend an excessive amount of time volunteering. Then the rules don't seem to apply to those kids and they are permitted to run amok, making like miserable for the other children. Conflict among the students was often done by telling them parables or praying with them. That's fine, however, all the offending child takes away is that he got off without a real consequence and continues the bad behavior. Eden has lost many good families in recent years, frankly due to the amount of bullying going on in these classrooms. The principal's stock answer is "boys will be boys" and "girls will be girls", but that is clearly unacceptable. We were very let down.

We have been pleased with our experience. The environment is healthy, the staff is friendly, and the students are some of the most upbeat children I have ever seen. The meeting space is beautiful and extremely clean. Curriculum is about two grade levels above public school in most subjects. This is sometimes difficult because some children just don't have the capacity to learn quite so rapidly. If you are considering Eden, be sure you ask the teacher exactly what the child will be learning that year so you can make an honest assessment of your child's gifts and abilities. Tutoring is available from teachers who want to see your child succeed, and after-school care is available for working parents. Eden offers so much in terns of theme days, assemblies, pep rallies, sports teams spirit days, etc., that my kids are constantly looking forward to school, even when the going gets tough on the schoolwork end of things. It's just a fun place to be. This campus does not have an in-house hot lunch program, but instead brings in outside vendors such as Chick-Fil-A, Pizza Hut, and Moe's. Not exactly a salad bar, but for a kid, it's heaven.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
