I hated bishop mcdevitt! The kids are rowdy and ignorant. The teacher are just as disrespectful as the students. There was NO dicipline and i learned nothing. Dont get me wrong, if you want SOME cool friendship (some being the key word) and a day full of nothing then go here. There are about 3 or 4 good teachers there (who really should consider leaving) so hopefully you will learn 1 or 2 things. But i do not recommend this school at all!

I just want to say, if you only attended McDevitt in grades 9 and 10 you would have never had to choose electives given they are only for 11 and 12 grades. McDevitt is a great school, it was accurately stated previously, it educates students that really want to learn.

McDevitt is ok. I have gone to both Abington and McDevitt (9 & 10 at McDevitt. 11 &12 at Abington). I feel that Abington is by far a better school for Math and Science. Abington also has much better Elective Courses then McDevitt. Both schools have great teachers though and the Eng & Hist classes are on par with each other.

I think the school dedicates itself to educating the students that want to learn. There is positive reinforcement to learn

I attended Bishop McDevitt High School and feel of this school verses friends who attended public school - this school beats Abington High School 100%. Although we didn't have the swim team or extracurricular activities of the Public school - hands down eductational and socially this is the best school! And the teachers cared about their students! They weren't there for the money (as public schools pay more) they cared about us the students and the discipline was terrific!
