Nothing...they will do it in their own time. I have 2, one was fast, the other is 4 and still wearing pull ups.

Sit in the bathroom with the child after the first or second incident, then address the child firmly showing him/her their mistake.

Our 3 yr old son was capable, but unwilling. We told him we would take him on a plane to see Grandma/Grandpa when he was potty trained. It took one more month for him to start going on his own. Just need to find the one item that motivates the kid.
