I am from Puerto Rico and moving to Florida in June. I want to enroll my daughter in some kind of preschool or any kind of program she can be around more kids. But I'm worried because she doesn't eat a much variety of food and the potty training isn't going that well either! Any advices!!!

Hi Joumarie26, and welcome to GreatSchools Parent Community.

Many schools will be able to help with potty training. It's definitely a case where scheduling and peer pressure work for them in ways that doing it alone at home can't.

And no matter what your child's food aversions, other kids will have them too. And the bonus? Watching other kids eat foods she's avoiding will likely get her more interest. But ask their policy and make sure it jives with yours. Does she have to try a bite or two of everything on her plate? Will they serve her only foods she already likes? Basically ask how they handle picky eaters and listen well.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.
