What Am I?

How you can help at home: Describe an object and have your child guess what it is.

By Miriam Myers , GreatSchools Staff

Play this fun game to boost your child's language development, listening and problem solving skills.

Here's How To Do It

You can play this game indoors or outside. Explain to your child that you are going to choose an object that you see and give her a hint about what it is. After each hint your child can guess what the object is. For example for grass you could give the following hints: "I am green." "You can walk on me" and "I need water and sun to live." After your child successfully guesses a few objects you can turn the tables and have her choose an object and have you guess what it is.
