The school is excellent. Mostly due to the high rate of parent involvement, some exceptional teachers, and class sizes under 25. The principal and the school's focus on anti-bullying, respect and social/community building is great, but I wish there were a greater focus on the academics - more enrichment and higher standards that were a focus at the K-3 school my child attended in Barrington.

HMS is an awesome school. My favorite teacher (the only one I had) is Mrs. Gaynor. She is so friendly and kind. She never takes sides on anyone. She is the best!

Excellent school in an excellent district. The only complaint is the principal's lack of a connection to kids and parents.

My son's experience at HMS has been terrific. Teachers and support staff really know the students and work hard to bring out the absolute best in them. Students unique abilities are well recognized and rewarded, while learning disabilities are understood and handled in a manner that encourages improvement, independence, and high self esteem. Students work together in a collegial atmosphere that is exciting and creative.
