Phenomenal school for military families! From day one, we have felt included in the school community - just a wonderful, welcoming group that has made it clear our kids are their highest priority. We will be sad to move on, but are so thankful that our son had the opportunity to attend Forest Ave, and especially that he was fortunate enough to be in Mrs. O'Neil's class!

I cannot say enough positive things about this school. Our son was very fortunate to attend Forest Ave. Mr Ponte, the principle, is amazing. He know all the students by name. He is very involved in their daily life. He plays kickball before school and at recess with the students. All the staff is wonderful and truly do care about your child.

We are very impressed with the school and all of the staff that works there. They go way and beyond to make sure all of our needs/concerns are met. My child loves to go to school so much that he is sad when there are vacations, breaks, etc.

What a great school! The principal Mr. Ponte knows every kid by name and greets them every morning. The front office staff is very helpful and friendly. The teachers are dedicated and willing to go above and beyond for their students.

Great school! Being a military family and moving here in the middle of the year Forest Ave. has been awesome! They have wonderful teachers and a excellent academic program. The principle, Mr. Ponte is great! He meets and greets the kids every morning. We just celebrated Military Child Month and had a great assembly-over 100 parents of military children attended! About 40% of the kids are military which made it easy for my son to transition because other kids could relate. They are extremely supportive of our military children and parents. I can't say enough. I highly recommend living in this school district to have your children attend Forest Avenue! They even have an "circle of friends for military parents" that meet once a month at the school! Great programs!!

Forest Ave is the best elementary school! I have been so pleased with the staff and students at this school. My son felt so loved and welcomed. Being a military family and moving around a lot, Forest Ave stepped up to the challenge of making my son feel welcomed and right at home. He has been so happy there and I am deeply sadden we had to leave. Any kid who attends Forest Ave is truly lucky! I can't praise Forest Ave enough! Wonderful school!

You just can't find a better school than Forest Ave. The principal is truly one of a kind - he knows every student by name and strives to make each one feel special. He has amazing energy - he even went so far as to go skydiving in front of the entire student body to reward them for reaching a reading goal. His enthusiasm is contagious and clearly evident through the entire staff. The teachers are excellent and seem to know how to bring out the best in every student. The front office is equally amazing - efficient and welcoming. Five stars just isn't enough to rate this wonderful school.

I could never say enough wonderful things about this school!! What a warm and friendly environment to learn! The teachers and office staff are outstanding and parental involvement is highly encouraged! And if I could give the principal a 6th star, I would! It is an extremely friendly environment for military families as well! We are only here for one year and our son is in EFMP with Autism. I can't imagine a better school for him!!!

Many days the principal greets the kids (he even knows thier names) at the buses. The best school my kids have attended...better than private.

My two children have attended Forest Ave for over a year now and have adjusted quite well to the new environment. The teachers are well organized and highly educated; with many having more than a decade of reputable experience in the teaching community. The faculty are friendly and courteous, the class schedules are well-structured, however, the most notable characteristic about this school is the principle. Here is a man who not only remembers the names of almost every student, he participates with them in team sports and activities nearly every day before school and during recess. He is very responsive to the children and has an open door policy to anyone needing counsel. The school itself is nestled in a quiet, woodsy type neighborhood off a side road between Middletown's two main streets. It has a country charm and a small town atmosphere to comfort even the shyest of children.
