Hooray for a wonderful school with a really diverse student body! This is our neighborhood school, and it's great to attend your neighborhood school for a sense of community.
MLK is a great school! Good teachers and an active community supporting it. I couldn't ask for more for my children.
MLK is wonderful! The PTO is active and the administration is fantastic! My children love their classrooms and the other special activities.
it is a wonderful community and a caring nurturing environment for our children
This school is great because the school environment is warm and friendly. There is a real community feeling. I feel like my children are cared about by the school and because of that they are thriving.
The teachers could not be better at setting high standards for their students- and the community is great. Everyone is supportive and nurturing, while expecting excellence!
My son is a 5th grader and he has had excellent teachers every year.
i love mlk because it has provided a great experience for two of my spirited grandchildren
I attended MLK for elementary school years ago and had an amazing experience. It was a diverse and enriching experience for all of us and many of my greatest friends are from my days at MLK Jr. Elementary School. The administration and PTO at this school will undoubtedly do a wonderful and responsible job at putting this money to good use for all of the students in the MLK community.
The teachers, administrators and parents create a community for learning that supports our kids in their journey of discovery.
I was very reluctant to send my son to Martin Luther King Jr, until someone I know whose child attends school there recommended that I see it first hand. I was pleasantly surprised by the tour of the school. I enrolled my son in kindergarten and was very pleased with the level of care and education he received. The principal, his teacher, the PTO, the bus service, the lunches (and free breakfasts), etc are all excellent. He has had a great year. He is reading and writing, doing math, enjoying gym, recess, music, and art. His maturity level has increased as a result of being around so many different types of children and learning styles. The school dept. has been very respectful of our choice not to immunize our child, and the nurse calls us promptly with any news if my child has any difficulties while at school.
