While I believe School One helped me greatly through my high school career, I could not help but notice the change over the years that I have been present for . Focus now seems to be on bringing in more of a diverse crowd as well as students of all mental capacities. While this is a good goal, I feel as if it becomes more of a distraction in the classroom. I'm saddened to see such a great educational experience get ruined because of these distractions .

Great school. Saved my intellectual life. Gave me the voice I have today. As a student there, I was entrusted with the freedom I craved to make important decisions about my education. Cary is so helpful, Aurel is so inspiring, and Cynthia gave me the support I needed to follow my dreams at art school at the Rhode Island School of Design.

School One is a tremendously tolerant and compassionate place that also has a great deal of respect of scholarship and academic inquiry. It has made a great difference, for the better, in our daughter's life. Teachers are fantastic--knowledgeable, understanding, devoted to the students. It would be nice if there was more of an athletics program, though.

Unique, individualized curriculum in a supportive, dynamic and creative enviroment. Not for the faint of heart. Expect to be treated like you are in college. You must be responsible and mature.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
