This school was closed this year by the diocese. Children mainly went to St. Luke's.
My grandson has been in this school for 2 years and looks forward to going. He loves it. He has learnt more than I can say in this limited space. All the teachers are great!
I am the parent of two children, one a graduate of St. Brendan School and the other still attending. St. Brendan School gave my son the academic and moral foundation he needed to excel in High School. I am confident that my daughter will be more than prepared tgo excel in her high school and college years as well. It is comforting to know that my children are being taught in an environment where they are taught to be caring productive members of society.
This is a great school with marvelous education, and moral value standards. This school expects a high standard of behavior.
I am a graduate of St. Brendan's School and the grandparent of two who now have attended this school for the past 6 years. St. Brendan's continues to provide a solid education while teaching their students how to study, enforcing discipline, setting a moral and ethical code and providing a fundamental religious education as well. St. B's does have PE, each week as well as Music, Spanish, Computer classes and Library Science...guaranteed the library is small. There are some after school sports offered such as basketball and volleyball. There is both a school choral group as well as a church children's choir. A Robotics Club which competes in the RI School Robotics Competition each year and a school newspaper exist too. While the school is kept spotless, it was built in 1954 and needs updating badly although it's pastor is constantly trying to gather private funding for such projects.
I have a child attending and I am a former student of St. Brendan school. The school provides an enviorment where any child can feel at home and be encouraged to succeed. The academics are excellent and you leave prepared for future schooling. It does lack the extraciricular activities, which I feel really takes away from the overall 'well-rounded education'.
