The Prout School

IB program AND IB & AP teachers are a very strong point of Prout! My daughter has been very challenged and motivated by IB English and World History classes. A superb school in all respects!

Prout has outstanding academics but I am writing this review to give credit to the guidence office. My son is a senior and the college app and selection process is a confusing and expensive minefield. Miss Hoyt and the staff at Prout are an incredible resource. Miss Hoyt in particular walks you thriough each step and is there with materials, access and assistence. I frankly don't know how she does it for very senior. Without her help, this year would have been a mess. This is something that schools don't asdvertise, but this kind of help is worth its weight in gold!

There are many great teachers at the school, but not enough of them are in the weak IB program. There are, however, several (though not enough) AP classes and many good honors classes. On the whole, Prout is a good school that prepares the student for college.

The best college prep school in the state! The school focuses on academics, not sports, which is integral to their success in preparing students for college.

The IB program that the school proudly presents is disorganized and unsatisfactory. Some teachers are excellent, but there are many who are not good at all.

Excellent college prep school with AP and IB classes offered. Atheletic programs are good and getting better. Excellent programs in music, drama, etc. Beautiful suburban location within a few miles from the ocean.
