If you’re looking for a good school with a good principal leadership, look elsewhere. Principal Robert Wells is inconsistent with policies, an ineffective communicator, is rude, and borderline incompetent. He’s created an environment of retaliation, which has a direct impact on teacher morale and has trickled down to the low morale of the students. There are some committed teachers at Broadmoor, but the way Principal Wells runs the school pushes them all away. Firing and replacing him would be the best thing to do to change the environment and reputation of the school.

I think the school should take care of the teachers and students equally and give them donuts in every morning.

Our kids went through Lutheran schools and had a mixed experience due to which group they went through with. Our grandkids attend SCCS and we know they are getting a great experience! We are both retired teachers who know our way around schools. This is a top notch organization. I look at the upper grade kids and see maturity levels beyond their years. Great Christian focus and a good mix of backgrounds in the student body. Love the music and art programs. Christmas concert was held at the Langston Hughes venue and was amazing.

This is the worst elementary school I have ever witnessed and have been in. I feel awful my children had to attend here at all. The staff do not care about the kids. They allow their assistant principal and front desk staff to yell at the children over loud speakers in the lunchroom where it echos awfully loud. I have also witnessed the assistant principal singling a child out demanding they stand up only to embarrass that poor child in front of the whole lunch class. Awfully traumatizing coming from someone who is supposed to make children feel safe and cared about. The school refused to open a bullying case for my son who got smacked on his back where an intense red handprint mark was left on his back only because he didn't use the word bullying to describe the incident. I would never recommend this school and I strongly feel this is not an acceptable environment for children.

Not a good school at the moment with John mcallian and Angela brown as assistant principal and principal. They are prideful people that have expelled two good kids because of either rumors or stuff done outside school property. The teachers however are great, one teacher is by far the best Triston Wartmen.

Prince Avenue has been a blessing to our family and a wonderful school community to be a part of. We have been thrilled with our children's academic, extracurricular, and most importantly, spiritual growth during their time at PACS. The academic curriculum is challenging and engaging. They are held to a high standard of excellence by their teachers and peers. In addition to their core classes, they have enjoyed visual arts, performing arts and computer classes. It has been a wonderful environment in which for them to grow in confidence. From athletics to performing arts, the facilities are wonderful and the coaches and staff are encouraging and confidence building. Our favorite part of Prince Avenue is its biblical foundation. Each subject is taught from a biblical worldview, echoing what we teach at home. They are daily being taught God's word in bible class, have memory verse assignments and attend weekly chapel. Thank you PACS for being such a wonderful school for our family.

If I could give this school a *0* I MOST DEFINITELY WOULD! Bring your children to this school at your own risk! They will judge you if they don’t like you as a parent and they will try to get your child taken away from you with false claims and allegations.

As a student who has been here from 6th to 8th grade, here's what I have to say overall: TEACHERS: The 6th to 7th grade teachers are above average without a doubt, and nearly every single one of my teachers in 8th grade have been better than I've had from the past 13 years of school that I've been in. Just like with most places, there are some not-great or just bad teachers/staff, but it's nothing that can majorly interrupt my life or school in general. HOMEWORK: Homework is really dependant on the teachers. From 6th-7th grade, I got almost no homework other than the weekly reading assignment which takes a few minutes to do (and you get the whole week to do it), this was similar for some of the other students ive talked to. In 8th grade, there is definitely a switch in the amount of homework given. In Math, homework is given daily. But that's about it. Plus, the homework in math only accounts for 20% of your total grade while tests account for 80%. EDUCATION: School here is just school, same curriculum as everyone else. HOWEVER, in my 8th grade year here, the teachers improved the education by 1000x. Throughout the years here, my teachers would just give the normal textbook assignments and explanations. But my teachers, especially my ELA teacher (Mr. Bender) has taught in a way that has changed the way many students and I learn, and keeps us engaged. My 8th grade teachers take time and effort to craft engaging assignments and lessons that not only teach us the topic but make it worthwhile to do. The classes are separated into 3 levels; "Regular", "Advanced" and "Cambridge". The Regular classes are NOT Regular, they are for students who need help catching up and are behind the grade level in that subject, and they are great at helping you get to a higher level class. The Advanced classes are normal, they teach at a faster but normal rate, with somewhat challenging lessons and assignments (depending on the subject). The Cambridge classes are Advanced, they teach at an above average speed and the assignments are more challenging and thought provoking. This school is the best of the worst. Compared to almost every other middle school, this is a great place to be. There's a lot than can be improved such as the way they deal with students and some of the guidelines, but these are the same problems that are in nearly every other school, so it's not negative in that sense

This school says they are for high function autistic children. What they actual mean is they want children with an ASD diagnosis but none of the social and emotional traits that go along with that. They just want to collect their $25,000 per kid and not have to doing anything to support the child. My child was treated awful by Robin. I’m thankful I found out before I wasted anymore of my time what this school is really like.

Admin, teachers, support and secretarial staff are top notch here! Secretarial staff are super welcoming and down to earth. I've had 2 kids at Totem and both excelled there.
