Though I was much happier with High Hills Elementary School and how comfortable they made you feel there, like family and very open-door policy, Hillcrest DOES have excellent teachers, especially their male teachers! They are the father figure that so many kids do not have for various reasons, one being they are deployed overseas, since this school is right off Shaw Air Force Base, but also for the less privileged families! I'd like to see more warmth in this school, which I think is what the principal is responsible for making of that kind of atmosphere, but overall, I'm very pleased with this school and all they offer in our community!

This school truely is one of the best you'll find. I've recently have been moving alot and changing school, from Sumter to Aliken, West Columbia and recently Columbia;unfortunately I haven't found or had a funner time than at Hillcrest. I was a previous student and I certainly wish I still was.

I do not know who is running the school. Administrators do not know the right hand from the left. I felt like I was in a prison when it comes to the amount of responsibility I was given. No one trust anyone else.

This school rocks. People judge the building and not the teaching! My son loves it there. I can't wait til my daughter can attend next year. They offer free before tutoring and extra help when needed. Don;t listen to what you hear from rumors until you try it. My husband is Military and we were suprized but, Happy! :) L
