This is our 5th year at Good Shepherd (3 children have attended) and we have 3 more years to go with our youngest. There is no other private Christian pre-school in the Kingwood area that can compare with the academics, fine arts, enrichment programs, and teacher/leadership involvement. I have had children attend(and I have worked in other pre-school programs) and when we found GS, we knew we were home. The staff truly loves their children and the Church is an intregal part of their week with the older kids attending chapel. We are not members at Good Shepherd, but love the traditional message of the love of God our children receive. Our daughter is in the TRANS-K program and is currently reading close to a first grade level. My son attended the private K class, and entered public 1st grade soaring above his peers in abilities. His counselor in elementary school said, "We can tell the children who come to us from Good Shepherd. They are prepared, well behaved, and ready to learn." I cannot recommend this school enough.
When our child was 4 she LOVED Good Shepherd. It's a happy, energetic and loving place for young children. They teach the child to love and respect one another while encouraging self-control. Great School!!!
I have had a child (or children) attending Good Shepherd School for the past 8 years now. The staff is great, the parents are friendly & involved and the leadership has been outstanding! I honestly have never had a complaint about anything at the school. I am now teaching a MDO class at Good Shepherd School this year, and unbelievably love it there even more! What a caring group of teachers and wonderful students! I would (and have, and do) highly recommend Good Shepherd School for MDO, pre-school and Kindergarten. There are so many ways that the kids get extra attention and activities that are not available to them in public school.
