Innovative education supported by public funding. IDEA keeps looking for ways to improve. We are seeing new technology, more online courses and well-known speakers providing workshops each year. It just keeps getting better and better.

IDEA did not offer the help and support that our family needed to be successful with home schooling. This year we put our child back in KSAS a charter school in the area and have learned that our 3rd grader is behind in math. What a shame. The allotment was not nearly enough to facilitate extra curricular activities like sports, etc. if the parent pays for high quality curriculum. The school year was a complete disappointment for our family. When we asked for help and guidance we were always told that we could figure it out on our own. This is not to say that all home school programs are the same way, but be sure to do your research first. In this area I think Connections Home school program is by far superior in our family's opinion.

This school is a wonderful support for homeschoolers. The teachers and staff are friendly and helpful, there are many resources available to enhance your child's learning and opportunities for you and your children to network and interact with other homeschoolers. It truly combines the best of homeschool with the best of structured education.

Our six-grader Daughter, enjoys the freedom of choice. We allow her to pick and choose as she makes good choices, she has demonstrated responsibility in her decisions. Making (Pizza) & Tomatoes) are Vegetables came from USDA. Freedom of Choice.

No. I prepare my son's lunch just about every day due to his special needs so I know what he is consuming both for him and his class. I want to be aware of all ingredients in all foods/drinks which he is consuming.

If it is to keep allergic kids safe, then no. A strict rule of no peanuts or pb&j should be enough. My child's school had a peanut free table for double insurance. If for "nutritional" reasons, then NO! Since when is pizza a veggie????... More »
