I have two children attending Santa Fe Montessori and we have been with the school for over 4 years now. My children love going to school and they are excelling even in subjects that are not so naturally easy for them. The teachers are loving, caring and experienced. The small classes allow them to offer the individual attention that every child deserves. Parents have been increasingly more involved with the school and that has created a stronger sense of community. Although the Montessori philosophy does emphasize testing as a good measure of success, all test score results we received so far have been in the 90 percentile.
This school has been excellent for our daughter. Not only are her test high, she loves learning and attending school. She is in Level 2, which is 4th, 5th and 6th grades. The children are respectful and have a great time together. I would definately recommend this school to others.
Fabulous school in a lovely and safe setting. Exceptional teachers and caring environment. Any child would benefit from their pre-k classrooms that are truly nuturing. But get in early, they have a notoriously long wait list and there is not a lot of movement in the classrooms as space is coveted. After carefully viewing most of the pre-k programs in San Diego, La Jolla, Olivenhain, Del Mar and Solana Beach - this one stands above and beyond. Highly recommended.
