I love Ramona so much that I have been active at Ramona for over 65 years. A wonderful place to work, study, visit, etc.
The mission statement moves the administration, faculty, staff, students, and parents working together with a common goal: helping the whole student to grow and prepare to take their place in the world. Having taught there for ten years, there was much affirmation and encouragement to succeed. No matter what challenges these young woman come with at entry year, they graduate with more than what their expectations were. I have the highest regard for all those connected with Ramona Convent Seconday School.
Ramona is not a school I would send my daughter. I had to transfer her to another local girls' school which is so much more open to our needs. Ramona is quite stuffy, and the elitism it promotes amongst students is rather off putting. It lacks spirit, and in the promotion of its own agenda, speaks disdainfully of other Catholic schools in the area. Please do your homework before your send your daughter to Ramona - the buyers remorse is not fun; trust me, I've had it.

This school unfortunately is not for everyone. If your daughter is not a solid 'A' or 'B' student, we would not recommend this school. due to enrollment capacity they may accept your child even if your daughter doesn't score well on the entrance exams. But, after a year of attending Ramona, you may be asked not to return for her 10th year. The faculty at the school is good and their motto to empower women is great, until they fall behind or it takes an effort to guide and bring them up to speed. None of the teachers will take responsibility for the end result of what happened to your daughter. It all falls back on your daughter a bit too late. Avoid the pain, humiliation, disappointment of rejection and an expensive tuition. This school is great for 'A' and 'B' grade students. Those women are easier to empower.
