cerveny is one of the most excellent school in DPS because their teachers are nice and since my child been there their gread have went way up
Cerveny Middle School is a great school ! Staff is alway friendly and eager to go that extra mile. Security is excellent !
This is one of the worst schools in the city of Detroit. There are major problems with violence, drugs and appathetic teachers. My child was a 7th grader during the 04-05 schhol year, and she was horrified by the daily violence...even inside the classrooms, teachers who swore at the children, lack of supervision, and drug usage in the bathrooms and hallways. My advice to any parent who cares about the welfare and future of their child, DO NOT SEND THEM TO THIS SCHOOL. The quality of academic programs is a joke, parent involvemwnt is virtually non-existent, and the staff and teachers are so overwhelmed, that they have developed a 'who-cares' attitiude. This school has always been a bottom of the barrell, last resort type of school!
