I moved to Cairo High from Thomas County Central. If I had to choose which school to attend, it would be Cairo. It is smaller and to me it seems more down to earth, and I can just be myself.

Cairo High School is like any other high school. The social status means a lot there whether your a teacher or a student. Every organization in this school thinks it is the most important thing happening and nothing else matters. This does tear some of the students apart. From my point of view in all my 4 years there the only people who can say that these were the best years of my life are the people that everyone claims you have to like.

I am a former homeschool mom and am currently a teacher at another school. I do recommend the school. As with any institution there are strengths and weaknesses. The strengths outweigh the weaknesses. Both of my older children have received a quality education at CHS. I do intend to have my youngest attend CHS also.

This is a great school! The teachers, the community, the principal-- everything is wonderful and it was a great experience teaching there. The extra-curricular activities are exceptional, especially football and band.

Very important - a school and its staff is only as strong as is leader. If the school has strong leadership then the school will also be strong.
