I am a student at this school, and I feel that we are taught what is needed to be taught, only we go above and beyond teaching, the teachers involve us in activities to help us get what we are doing. I believe that the teachers here are the best, and try their best to succeed everyone. I have found that teachers are well to get along with, and I have no problems talking to them after class. They are willing to help you in any situation. At this school there is plenty of activities to be involved in. Parents are involved in many activities. They are able to come on whenever, or to dances. Our grades here are well because the staff is so willing to help. I transferred from Washburn Rural and this school is much better, and more 'down to Earth', teachers are certainly the best!
My children are completing their first year at Northern Hills, and they had a great year. Their previous school class was less than 30 children, and their Northern Hills class has approximately 140 children. The teachers and administrative staff were exceptional in making them feel welcome. I am greatly satisfied with the curriculum and extra activities Northern Hills offers.
Most of the teachers at this school are tops! They go well beyond what is required to help students be successful. They are easy to approach both at school or away from school. I have visited this school and found almost everyone to be helpful and polite. The motto of the school is 'Respect, Effort, and Responsibility' and it sure fits what I have observed. Students at Northern Hills learn good life skills as well as the all important academic skills. They are taught what it takes to become a productive and caring citizen in our society.
