I have the 4th of 5 of my children in Sherwood Middle school so I do have some experience in this matter. I will shy away from my personal feelings and stick to the facts. Any positive statistics this school gets are skewed because of the multiple attempts the school provides and the coaching the teachers provide. The education is focused only on the test subjects not the childs education. Instead of teaching subjects, the try to get students to memorize subject matter. The teachers have very poor attitudes that reflect their leadership, Jill Bailey is particularly good example of how much a human being can crave tax payers money and care so little about the wealfare of children in her charge. All of my children know if they don't hand in their homework the school will give them several more chances in order to get their grades higher.
I pulled my student out of this school after highly suspect behavior by more than one of the teachers. I only have directly experienced a few schools so I don't have much to measure against, but I will say this, I can't imagine a school getting much worse than this on an academic level. The facilty has a theory, spend money on what you want, then beg for what you need.

This has been a rotten year so far. The school is desperately overcrowded, the administration is reacting in petty ways, and the teachers and staff overall have a 'couldn't care less' attitude.
