We moved to BG because we heard the elementary schools were great. We moved into the Captain Strong district. What a disaster. The school does not seem to be equipped to handle students outside the bell curve. Either the very smart or the educationally challenged. Our first grade teacher was verbally abusive and hateful to students. The principal had no answers to problems. We no longer attend Capt Strong. There is no way I could recommend this school to anyone.

Our first year here and it started out a little rough but ended up excellent. Being involved made the year a success for all three of our little ones. ADHD and having two special needs preschoolers was made easier because of the teachers and staff. We were fortunate enough to have a wonderful preschool teacher and awesome 2nd grade teacher who are the best teachers we have had yet. Pre-k Holly Caittan, and 2nd grade Kristine Fry- not to mention the wonderful Principal and Asst. Principal. Can't go wrong with Capt. Strong!

This is our second year at Cpt Strong and I am very impressed with the quality of the teachers and the care that they have for the students. Each teacher has been very willing to work with me and lend a listening ear when needed. I can not express enough the appreciation of all the help they provide, especially this years teacher, Mr. Harvison.
