Front office is horrible. The secretaries are rude and the principal is condescending. Great specials teachers (gym, music, art), but classes are too crowded.

The principle is extremely difficult to deal with. Communication is extremely poor. I would recommend finding a different school. The teachers are under a lot of pressure and it is systemic of the problem in leadership under the principles direction.

As the parent of a special needs child, I was concerned that there was only school in the district that a program that would be appropriate for my son. Since my son has started at Lee Avenue School, I have seen such a positive change in him. His speech, his understanding of concepts has improved so much in a short period of time. I am truly greatful to the wonderful teachers, assistants and the principle for an amazing program.

If you have a special needs child this is the building to be in, the principal has a special place in her heart for the special ed children, but if you have a bright child there is no enrichment. The school will only test children for remediation not enrichment. Other buildings in the district give enrichment when needed. Lee Avenue parents of gifted children are told to enrich your child at home and get your own work. The bright students finish their work and then are given busy work
